Hi, we found an old piece of furniture in our attic with a signature of what appears to be Milla E.Clapp. It’s dated September, 1877. Do you have any idea who this is or if this might have some value? Thank you in advance for your time! Karen

I was unable to find any information on Milla E. Clapp. I am guessing she may have been the original owner. The fact that the piece dates to 1877 suggests it may have some value. The type of piece and condition will determine that as well. You may want to take it to an antique appraiser.
